Alberta Education assigns every child a unique nine-digit Alberta Student Number (ASN). The ASN is required for children to receive services from Alberta Education. The child's ASN will be incorporated into any official documentation e.g. the IPP and be included in the child's official student record stored on SchoolCloud and shared with Alberta Education's Provincial Approach to Student Information (PASI) system.
