Welcome to Kids Developmental Services
Early Intervention Team members include children, their families, an Alberta certificated teacher; and may include early childhood intervention specialists such as speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, Family support specialists, developmental assistants, practicum students as well as the community preschool or child care center the child attends. Our multidisciplinary as well as interdisciplinary approach, ensures that every member of your child’s team is familiar with your child’s goals and areas of growth, and can therefore support them in a variety of ways.
Programming will include classroom support and each child will have an Individualized Program Plan, written by a Certificated Teacher and supported by early intervention therapists.
Programming is based on the results of standardised assessments; parent and teacher anecdotal information; classroom observations; and educational goals that identify the diverse learning needs of the child.

Kids Developmental Services will also be able to provide teams and intervention to families who have a contract with Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) if the child is accessing Program Unit Funding (PUF) through Kids Developmental Services.
